Job summary

Fairview Health Services in Minneapolis seeks a Pharmacist in Charge/Site Manager for its Infusion Pharmacy, supporting a large infusion center and cancer clinic. The role involves ensuring regulatory compliance, budgeting, inventory control, and staff leadership across a high-volume site.

The position requires pharmacist licensure in Minnesota, 2 years of pharmacist experience, and 1 year of management experience or residency completion, with BLS where vaccinations are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Pharm D in pharmacy from an accredited school.
• 2 years experience as a practicing pharmacist
• 1 year management experience and/or completion of a comparable residency program
• MN Pharmacy License Upon Hire
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross) BLS required at locations providing vaccinations

Responsibilities

• Oversee all site operations including compliance with state and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice.
• Supervise and develop staff, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, orienting, training, coaching, mentoring, and evaluating employees; conduct timely reviews.
• Manage daily workforce operations, workload distribution, staffing levels, productivity, cost control, and timecard approvals.
• Partner with the director and leaders to develop regional strategic planning and marketing initiatives.
• Implement system-wide quality assurance, clinical initiatives, and customer satisfaction programs locally.
• Collaborate with vendors and hospital/clinic staff to ensure continuity of essential pharmacy functions and accreditations.
• Act as local liaison between pharmacy, payers, professionals, and Fairview entities.
• Perform Staff Pharmacist functions and provide clinical care including patient counseling and prospective drug use evaluation.
• Dispense medications with accurate labeling and timely fulfillment; maintain literature review and staff education.
