Job summary

Alive and Well Pharmacy in Austin, TX, is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead daily operations of a growing compounding practice with sterile capabilities. The PIC will oversee quality, compliance, and patient safety while mentoring staff and ensuring regulatory standards.

You will verify prescriptions, supervise technicians, review formulations and batch records, and collaborate with providers to optimize therapies.

Qualifications

• Current Texas Pharmacist License in good standing.
• Experience in compounding pharmacy operations and sterile compounding.
• Knowledge of USP <797> and state regulations.
• Ability to supervise technicians and ensure quality records.

Responsibilities

• Verify prescriptions and approve compounded and traditional medications.
• Oversee sterile batch preparation and determine batch release.
• Supervise compounding staff and maintain QA oversight.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and accurate documentation.
• Support environmental monitoring and equipment calibration.
• Collaborate with providers to develop customized therapies.
