Job summary

Praxis, Inc. in San Francisco Bay Area seeks a Founding Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) and Head of Compounding for a full-time, on-site role. You will lead all nonsterile and sterile compounding operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and building an exceptional pharmacist and technician team.

You will establish workflows, optimize inventories, and help shape the facility's quality, safety, and innovation agenda. California-licensed pharmacists with leadership experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Hands-on sterile and non-sterile compounding expertise.
• 5+ years at a 503A facility; ideally PIC.
• Familiar with USP 795/797 compliance.
• California pharmacist license.
• Experience mentoring staff and leading a team.
• Knowledge of sterile/non-sterile regulations.
• Strong problem-solving and process improvement.
• Entrepreneurial interest in software and robotics.
• PharmD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead nonsterile and sterile compounding operations and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee staffing, training, and mentoring of pharmacists and technicians.
• Develop workflows, inventory management, and quality/compliance processes.
• Drive strategic planning to strengthen pharmacy infrastructure.
• Implement safety, efficiency, and innovation initiatives.
