Job summary

JCW Group in Houston, TX seeks a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead compliance, quality oversight, and regulatory engagement across a multi-state pharmacy environment. This role has full accountability for inspection readiness and safe sterile compounding practices.

The PIC will supervise regulatory inspections, CAPA, SOPs, documentation, and cross-functional alignment to protect patient safety and ensure ongoing regulatory standing in a fast-paced, highly regulated setting.

Qualifications

• PharmD with active pharmacist license (Texas + multi-state required)
• Eligible to serve as PIC
• 5+ years of experience in pharmacy operations, compliance, or sterile compounding
• Strong background in inspections, audits, and regulatory interactions
• Experience in quality systems (CAPA, SOPs, documentation)

Responsibilities

• Act as the designated PIC with full oversight of pharmacy operations and compliance
• Lead regulatory inspections, audits, and responses (Board of Pharmacy, state/federal)
• Ensure adherence to sterile compounding standards (USP <797> / <800>)
• Oversee quality systems including environmental monitoring, documentation, and staff practices
• Manage multi-state licensure (pharmacy and personnel)
• Drive CAPA, SOP development, and continuous compliance improvements
• Maintain controlled substance compliance and diversion prevention programs
• Partner cross-functionally to ensure operational alignment and patient safety
