The role oversees inventory and supports immunization programs, resolving issues with physicians and patients while upholding federal and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (BS) or Doctoral degree (PHARM.D.) in Pharmacy with Immunization Certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions filled by completing Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance, applicable to state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Build profitable business and script growth through recommended clinical programs including immunization and MTM when available.
• Align departmental objectives with key metrics; manage inventories, track weekly sales, and order stock to meet demand and maximize profits.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with medical issues and healthcare counseling.
• Supervise Pharmacy Technicians and support staff; train, coach, and manage associates.
• Assume management responsibility over the entire pharmacy in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager.
• Maintain open communication with operations and pharmacy management to ensure success of the pharmacy.
• Maintain security of the Pharmacy department and comply with federal and state laws.
• Handle and resolve customer issues, complaints and questions to build trust and loyalty.
• Interact with physicians and use reference material to resolve issues related to customers and prescriptions.
• Assist with maintaining the Pharmacy department, staff development, and controlling labor costs.
• Prioritize tasks and ensure completion, including cycle counts, inventory management, and will-calls.

Education

Pharmacy degree (BS/PharmD) or equivalent; Immunization Certification (APhA)
