Job summary

Harris Regional Hospital is seeking a Pharmacist to join our clinical team. You will participate in multidisciplinary rounds, manage drug therapy protocols, and provide education to staff and patients across ICU, ED and inpatient units.

We value teamwork, accuracy, and patient safety, with opportunities for professional development and ongoing certification support. A North Carolina license and BLS are required; ACLS/PALS within six months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Doctoral degree preferred.
• Pharmacy license active in North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire; ACLS/PALS within six months.

Responsibilities

• Manages drug therapy protocols as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Reviews and interprets medication orders to identify and resolve drug-related problems.
• Provides drug information and education to medical staff, patients and pharmacy students.
• Documents interventions and outcomes for drug therapy quality improvement.
• Evaluates medication orders for accuracy before entry; checks after technician filling.

Our pharmacy offers opportunities to perform clinical pharmacy services for patients in various departments of the hospital, including ICU, PCU/Cardiac, and the Emergency Department. How you'll contribute

A Pharmacist who excels in this role:

Manages drug therapy protocols as a part of an interdisciplinary team.

Reviews, interprets and evaluates medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential or actual drug related problems.

Provides drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, and patients, and pharmacy students.

Documents interventions and their outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts.

Evaluates medication orders for accuracy and completeness prior to order entry.

Checks for accuracy after filling by technicians.

What we're looking for

Applicants should possess a bachelor's degree at minimum, a Doctoral degree is preferred, along with a pharmacy license active in North Carolina. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred
