Job summary

Harris Regional Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks an experienced Manager (RN) Education to lead education programs for nursing staff and drive curricula development, training coordination, and regulatory compliance to elevate patient care quality.

This full-time day-shift role requires strong leadership and budgeting skills, collaborating with clinical teams to oversee staff development, performance reviews, and continuing education initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.
  • BLS required.
  • Minimum overnight travel up to 10% by land and/or air.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards aligned with clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
  • Directs and evaluates departmental operations to achieve performance and quality objectives.
  • Plans and monitors staffing activities including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
  • Prepares and monitors departmental budgets and ensures compliance with funding; coordinates internal/external audits.
  • Creates an environment that encourages professional growth.
  • Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.

Manage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, ensures quality standards. Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff. Directs the department's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives. Position serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, patients, contractors, and vendors. Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA). Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.
