Job summary

Harris Regional Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks an experienced Manager (RN) – Education to lead day-shift operations and oversee clinical and administrative activities. This role emphasizes staff development, budgeting, scheduling, and adherence to healthcare regulations in a busy regional hospital setting.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, BLS certification, and willingness to travel up to 10% as needed.

Manage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, ensures quality standards. Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff. Directs the department's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives. Position serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, patients, contractors, and vendors. Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA). Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.

• Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.


• Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.


• Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.


• Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.


• Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.


• Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
