Job summary

Lifepoint Health's Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva, NC seeks a Pharmacist to join a clinical team delivering medication management across ICU, PCU/Cardiac, and ED. The role emphasizes safe, evidence-based pharmacotherapy within a collaborative hospital setting.

The ideal candidate holds a PharmD with NC licensure, BLS, and preferably ACLS/PALS, and brings at least one year of experience. This position supports a healthy work-life balance with day shifts.

Qualifications

• Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree at minimum and a pharmacy license active in North Carolina.
• A Doctoral degree is preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages drug therapy protocols as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Reviews, interprets and evaluates medication orders to identify and resolve drug-related problems.
• Provides drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, patients, and students.
• Documents interventions and outcomes for drug therapy quality improvement efforts.
• Evaluates medication orders for accuracy and completeness prior to order entry.
• Checks for accuracy after filling by technicians.

Our pharmacy offers opportunities to perform clinical pharmacy services for patients in various departments of the hospital, including ICU, PCU/Cardiac, and the Emergency Department. How You'll Contribute

A Pharmacist who excels in this role:

What We're Looking For
