Central Admixture Pharmacy, part of CAPS, a B. Braun subsidiary, is seeking a Pharmacist at its Norcross, GA location. The role focuses on preparation of compounded sterile products under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy, with supervision of IV technicians and interns.

The position requires a PharmD or Bachelor’s degree, a GA pharmacist license, and 1+ year related experience; new grads encouraged to apply. Schedule is 7on/7off (8:00am-6:30pm) with on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepares compounded sterile products using aseptic technique per CAPS SOPs.
• Supervises IV technicians, interns and other staff as directed.
• Ensures compliance with State Board of Pharmacy and other agencies.
• Reviews orders for admixing and dispensing; resolves discrepancies.
• Maintains inventory and supports successful pharmacy operations.

Position Summary:

Pharmacist will be responsible for the preparation compounded sterile products using and related activities under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy. Assists in the supervision of IV technicians, interns and other support personnel.

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

• Adheres to all policies and procedures
• Prepares compounded sterile products using aseptic technique and CAPS Standard Operating Procedures.
• Ensures pharmacy compliance with rules and regulations of the State Board of Pharmacy and other regulating agencies.
• Reviews orders and prescriptions for admixing and dispensing.
• Resolves order discrepancies and problems with customer pharmacy personnel.
• Participates in CAPS Continuous Quality Improvement Program and performs Quality Control functions as assigned.
• Assists in successful pharmacy operation: troubleshooting equipment problems, ordering supplies and maintaining inventory.
• Maintains positive customer relationships.
• May supervise IV Technicians and interns; reviews works for accuracy while ensuring compliance with CAPS SOPs.
