Central Admixture Pharmacy in Norcross, GA is seeking a Pharmacist to manage the preparation of compounded sterile products and supervise IV staff. This onsite role follows a 7 ON/7 OFF schedule (8:00am–6:30pm) with on-call coverage.

The ideal candidate holds a Georgia Pharmacist license, a Bachelor's or PharmD, and 1+ year related experience. The role emphasizes compliance with state boards, quality control, and maintaining positive patient relationships.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Pharmacist will be responsible for the preparation compounded sterile products using and related activities under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy. Assists in the supervision of IV technicians, interns and other support personnel.

Responsibilities: Essential Duties
  • Adheres to all policies and procedures
  • Prepares compounded sterile products using aseptic technique and CAPS Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensures pharmacy compliance with rules and regulations of the State Board of Pharmacy and other regulating agencies.
  • Reviews orders and prescriptions for admixing and dispensing.
  • Resolves order discrepancies and problems with customer pharmacy personnel.
  • Participates in CAPS Continuous Quality Improvement Program and performs Quality Control functions as assigned.
  • Assists in successful pharmacy operation: troubleshooting equipment problems, ordering supplies and maintaining inventory.
  • Maintains positive customer relationships.
  • May supervise IV Technicians and interns; reviews works for accuracy while ensuring compliance with CAPS SOPs.

  • May periodically assist in orienting, training, and/or reviewing the work of peers.
  • Judgement is required in resolving complex problems based on experience.
  • Contacts are primarily with department supervisors, leads, subordinates, and peers.
  • Frequent contact with external contractors/vendors.

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree or PharmD required.
  • 1+ year related experience preferred
  • New Pharm D grads encouraged to apply
  • Valid Georgia Pharmacist license
  • Schedule: 7on/7off (8:00am-6:30pm) Wednesday-Tuesday rotation. With On Call responsibilities. Holidays/overtime as needed.
  • Salary range is $114,778.42 - $140,500

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
