Central Admixture Pharmacy in Woburn, MA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to prepare compounded sterile products under a pharmacist's direction. The role requires aseptic technique and adherence to CAPS policies, with setup and maintenance duties in the cleanroom and support for QA testing.

Position Summary:

Pharmacy Technician prepares compounded sterile products and performs related activities under the direction of a pharmacist.

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

• Adheres to all CAPS policies and procedures
• Prepares compounded sterile products using aseptic technique.
• Assists in the setup of the compounding room, equipment, and supplies for preparation of compounded sterile solutions, using aseptic technique.
• Performs general cleaning and maintenance duties as directed.
• Participates in cleanroom product introduction activities.
• Prepares records and monitors results for pharmaceutical quality assurance testing.

Level II additionally may:

• Assist in training/mentoring of new IV Technicians as assigned

• May require some limited judgement in resolving problems.
• Contacts are primarily with direct supervisor, peers and subordinates.
• Sterile Compounding experience is not required, we are willing to train the right candidate

Expertise: Qualifications -Education/Experience/Training/Etc

Required:

• REQUIRED: Pharmacy Technician License issued by the MA Board of Pharmacy
• REQUIRED: National Pharmacy Certification through PTCB or NHA ExCPT
• High school diploma/G.E.D or equivalent required.
• cGMP training/experience desired, training will be provided
• Aseptic processing training/experience desired, training will be provided.

Schedule: (8am-4:30pm) weekdays and every other weekend. Holidays/overtime as required
Salary range is $20.23 - $26.50
