Job summary

SpecialtyRx in Elizabethtown, Kentucky is seeking a Licensed Pharmacist to join our high-impact Long-Term Care pharmacy team. As a pharmacist, you will evaluate medication orders, ensure correct dispensing and labeling of medicines, and communicate effectively with healthcare staff. The ideal candidate will have an active KY pharmacist license and experience in Long Term Care is preferred. Qualifications

• Must be an active Pharmacist licensed by the KY Board of Pharmacy.
• Previous experience in Long Term Care preferred.
• Ability to perform light lifting and sit/stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and proper administration.
• Ensure that dispensed medicines are correctly supplied and labeled.
• Communicate with facilities’ nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members in regard to medication‑related query.
• Supervise the preparation of any medicines.
• Make recommendation for therapy changes to the physician and client facilities staff, if necessary.
• Investigate and resolve medication-related queries.
• Maintain customers’ database to include medical history, clinical, laboratory data, etc.

Shift: Overnight, donut shift 3/12 hour shifts and 4/10 hour shifts rotation and every other weekend.

Qualifications:

• Active Pharmacist with KY Board of Pharmacy a must.
• Previous experience in Long Term Care preferred.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, accurately, and efficiently.
• Must be multi‑tasking and reliable.
• Computer literate, knowledge of Frameworks LTC system, PLUS.
• Ability to physically perform light lifting.
• Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time.
