SpecialtyRx, Inc. in Kentucky seeks a Licensed Pharmacist to join our fast-growing LTC pharmacy team. You will evaluate orders, ensure proper labeling, and collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and facility teams to optimize patient care.

This overnight/donut shift rotation offers consistent schedules and a comprehensive benefits package. Prior LTC experience and KY license are strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Active KY Pharmacist license required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for drug appropriateness, dosage and interactions.
• Ensure dispensed medicines are correctly supplied and labeled.
• Communicate with nursing staff, physicians and other team members about medication queries.
• Supervise preparation of medicines.
• Recommend therapy changes to physicians and staff when needed.
• Investigate and resolve medication-related queries.
• Maintain patient databases with medical history and clinical data.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and proper administration.
• Ensure that dispensed medicines are correctly supplied and labeled.
• Communicate with facilities’ nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members in regard to medication-related query.
• Supervise the preparation of any medicines.
• Make recommendation for therapy changes to the physician and client facilities staff, if necessary.
• Investigate and resolve medication-related queries.
• Maintain customers’ database to include medical history, clinical, laboratory data, etc.

Shift: Overnight, donut shift 3/12 hour shifts and 4/10 hour shifts rotation and every other weekend or 4/10 hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist with KY Board of Pharmacy a must.
• Previous experience in Long Term Care preferred.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, accurately, and efficiently.
• Must be multi-tasking and reliable.
• Computer literate, knowledge of Frameworks LTC system, PLUS.
• Ability to physically perform light lifting.
• Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time.
