Job summary

SpecialtyRx, Inc. in Kentucky is hiring a Licensed Pharmacist to join our high-impact LTC pharmacy team.

You will evaluate orders, ensure accurate dispensing, and collaborate with nursing staff and physicians to optimize resident care. Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist with KY Board of Pharmacy required.
• LTC experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to work independently, accurately, and efficiently.
• Must be multitasking and reliable.
• Computer literate; knowledge of Frameworks LTC system, PLUS.
• Ability to perform light lifting.
• Able to sit and stand for prolonged periods.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for drug appropriateness, dosage, interactions and proper administration.
• Ensure dispensed medicines are correctly supplied and labeled.
• Communicate with nursing staff, physicians, and healthcare team about medication queries.
• Supervise preparation of medicines.
• Recommend therapy changes to physician and staff when needed.
• Investigate and resolve medication-related queries.
• Maintain customers’ database with medical history and labs.

License Pharmacist Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and proper administration.
