Job summary

SpecialtyRx, a leading Long-Term Care pharmacy, seeks a licensed Pharmacist to join our night-shift team. You will review orders, ensure correct labeling, and collaborate with nursing staff and physicians to optimize therapy for residents.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist license with OH Board of Pharmacy required.
• Previous experience in Long Term Care preferred.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, accurately, and efficiently.
• Must be multi-tasking and reliable.
• Computer literate, knowledge of Frameworks LTC system, PLUS.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and proper administration.
• Ensure dispensed medicines are correctly supplied and labeled.
• Communicate with facilities’ nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members regarding medication-related queries.
• Supervise the preparation of medicines.
• Make therapy-change recommendations to physicians and facility staff when necessary.
• Investigate and resolve medication-related queries.
• Maintain customers’ database with medical history, clinical data, and lab results.

License Pharmacist Responsibilities:

Shift:

• 6pm-2:30am Monday-Friday and every other weekend.
• 7on/7off 10 hour night shift every other week
• 4 10 hour shifts
• 3 twelve hour shifts (Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 12pm-12:30am)
