SpecialtyRx, Inc. in Kentucky is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our high-impact LTC pharmacy team. You will evaluate medication orders, ensure proper labeling, and communicate with nursing staff and physicians to optimize patient care.

The role involves overnight 4/10 shifts with every other weekend, full-time hours, and a competitive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life, disability, PTO, and a 401(k) match. Previous LTC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist with KY Board of Pharmacy a must.
• Previous experience in Long Term Care preferred.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, accurately, and efficiently.
• Must be multi-tasking and reliable.
• Computer literate, knowledge of Frameworks LTC system, PLUS.
• Ability to physically perform light lifting.
• Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and proper administration.
• Ensure that dispensed medicines are correctly supplied and labeled.
• Communicate with facilities' nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members in regard to medication-related query.
• Supervise the preparation of any medicines.
• Make recommendation for therapy changes to the physician and client facilities staff, if necessary.
• Investigate and resolve medication-related queries.
• Maintain customers' database to include medical history, clinical, laboratory data, etc.

License Pharmacist Responsibilities

Shift

Overnight 4/10 hour shifts every other weekend.

7 on/ 7 off Tuesday- Wednesday 2pm-12:30am every other week.
