Job summary

Civica Rx in Petersburg, VA is seeking a Materials Specialist to lead first-shift warehouse activities supporting site manufacturing. You will manage receipt, storage, and shipment of materials, perform cycle counts, and maintain GMP-compliant documentation and safety practices.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in warehouse operations (pharma a plus), ERP experience, and forklift certification. You will collaborate across departments and contribute to continuous process improvements and audits.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in warehouse operations; pharmaceutical experience preferred.
• An associate degree or higher in a related field is a plus.
• Obtaining powered industrial truck certification through Civica Rx upon employment will be required.
• Experience in using ERP systems with emphasis on inventory.
• Good writing and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of GMP, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices is preferred.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and meeting schedule requirements.
• Ability to work autonomously and within established guidelines, procedures and practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform shift warehouse activities to meet site manufacturing requirements.
• Supply required raw materials, components, supplies, and other commodities to all site departments on time.
• Adhere to Civica procedures and GMP and good documentation practices.
• Ensure staff safety and regulatory compliance.
• Attend shift meetings to ensure clear communication of issues.
• Initiate, investigate, and close deviations, CAPAs, Change Actions, etc.
• Participate in regulatory and QA audits and inspections.
• Generate and revise SOPs.
• Adapt priorities to changes in schedule to minimize impact on departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse manager.
