This role leads and develops laboratory personnel while maintaining compliance with FDA, cGMP, GLP, USP. You will drive data integrity, lab safety, equipment calibration, training, and continuous improvement, coordinating with Manufacturing, Quality,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, or related science with Chemistry coursework.
• 4-6 years of experience in the healthcare industry.
• Knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and regulatory requirements (FDA, cGMP, GLP, USP).
• Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support for laboratory operations and workflow control; implement testing standards.
• Conduct performance and development discussions with direct reports with feedback and improvement plans.
• Supervise lab safety measures and assist personnel to enhance performance.
• Ensure timely completion of all testing and project work as required.
• Assist in implementing quality and regulatory requirements and ensure SOP compliance.
• Monitor accuracy of records and documentation in the lab.
• Participate in initiatives to improve production, efficiency, and cost savings.
• Ensure staff training and appropriate staffing decisions.
• Prepare, review, and update SOPs and training materials; communicate changes.
• Oversee equipment maintenance, calibration, and internal audits.
• Lead investigations for out-of-limit results; document root causes and corrective actions.
• Review and approve laboratory records and investigations for accuracy and integrity.
• Mentor analysts with coaching and performance feedback.
• Communicate with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain on testing priorities and delays.
