Job summary

Baxter International Inc. is seeking a senior quality laboratory manager to oversee Chemistry and Microbiology labs.

You will manage a team, ensure product quality, regulatory conformance, and adherence to cGMP standards across the department. Responsibilities include coordinating lab activities, ensuring timely release of products, interfacing with regulators, leading continuous improvement, and developing staff through coaching and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science with concentration in Biology or Microbiology preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years in a cGMP-regulated industry.
• Experience with environmental monitoring and contamination control in regulated manufacturing.
• Knowledge of microbiology testing techniques (bioburden, endotoxin, particulates).
• Familiarity with USP, FDA, ISO standards.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the activities of the Chemistry and Microbiology laboratories to ensure product quality and regulatory conformance.
• Interacts with regulators during inspections and ensures compliance with quality systems.
• Identify and lead continuous improvement projects to improve quality, reliability and cost.
• Coordinate with Lab Services and QA to maintain operations and equipment.
• Oversee budgeting, coaching, training, and development of subordinates.
• Ensure 6S and safe working practices in the laboratories.
• Support timely release of products meeting customer quality requirements.
