Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Project Engineering Manager to lead a team of 5–8 project engineers at a major pharmaceutical client site. You will provide functional and people leadership to ensure high-quality project engineering execution and compliance with client requirements and industry best practices.

You will collaborate with project managers, operations, and QA teams to drive value realization, risk mitigation, and talent development while maintaining standards, tools, and templates

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum of 5+ years of engineering or capital project experience, preferably within a pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environment.
• Prior people leadership or functional management experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, and utility systems.
• Strong understanding of commissioning, qualification, and change control processes.
• Demonstrated experience developing metrics, tracking value, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage diverse stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 5–8 Project Engineers, providing coaching and performance feedback.
• Ensure active development plans with documented discussions and measurable progress.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive, high-performing team culture.
• Manage team workload, resource planning, and assignment of project engineers.
• Maintain the annual Project Engineering team budget for training and activities.
• Serve as primary escalation point for engagement, performance, and issue resolution.
• Lead stakeholder feedback initiatives to improve engagement and delivery.
• Periodically meet with directors and managers to review performance and engagement.
