Job summary

Piper Companies in Durham, NC is seeking a Procurement Analyst to support a pharmaceutical manufacturing partner focused on rare and complex diseases. This hybrid role blends strategic sourcing, supplier management, and spend analysis to optimize performance and compliance.

You will lead RFI/RFP processes, negotiate contracts with CROs, and drive cost savings while ensuring GxP alignment across cross-functional teams in a dynamic, regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Life Sciences, Business, or related field.
• 6+ years of procurement experience in a regulated environment.
• Experience with strategic sourcing, RFQs, supplier management, and vendor performance resolution.
• Experience leading RFI and RFP processes.
• Proficiency with Source-to-Pay systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Understanding of GxP environments and procurement best practices.
• Experience negotiating contracts with CROs.
• Proven ability to manage multiple sourcing initiatives in complex global organizations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to support operational and business objectives.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Lead sourcing and procurement projects through the full lifecycle.
• Analyze spend data, supplier performance, and operational trends to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support vendor management activities, including contract negotiations and compliance monitoring.
• Drive process improvements, cost savings initiatives, and operational efficiencies.
• Manage supplier performance reviews and mitigate procurement-related risks.
