Piper Companies is currently looking for a Lead Procurement Analyst based in the Durham County, NC area to work a hybrid role. This Procurement Analyst will join a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company driven by a commitment to providing innovative therapeutic solutions for patients.

Responsibilities for the Lead Procurement Analyst:

• Partner with cross-functional teams to understand operational needs and help ensure critical services and resources are available to support key business initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, serving as a trusted resource for planning, coordination, and performance management.
• Lead projects through the full lifecycle, helping drive timely execution, process improvements, cost efficiencies, and overall business effectiveness.
• Analyze spending, service performance, and operational trends to identify opportunities for optimization, risk reduction, and strategic decision-making.
• Support contract and vendor management activities, including negotiations, compliance oversight, and ongoing performance reviews to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Qualifications for the Lead Procurement Analyst:

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field
• 6-8+ years' experience in procurement depending on education
• Experience with strategic sourcing, RFQs, supplier management, and identifying/resolving vendor performance issues.
• Experience leading Request for Information and Request for Proposal processes
• Proficiency with Source-to-Pay systems, ERP platforms, Microsoft Office, and a general understanding of GxP environments.
• Negotiation experience with Contract Research Organizations
• Proven success managing multiple projects, driving sourcing initiatives, and delivering results within complex global organizations.

Compensation for the Lead Procurement Analyst:

• Salary Range: $105,000-140,000 based on professional experience
  • Includes 20% annual bonus and equity
