Piper Companies is seeking a Lead Procurement Analyst in the Durham, NC area for a hybrid role within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The role focuses on strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive cost efficiency and process improvements.

The ideal candidate brings 6–8+ years of procurement experience, a bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field, and a strong background in S2P systems, ERPs, and CRO negotiations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required (Life Sciences, Business, or related field).
• 6–8+ years procurement experience depending on education.
• Experience with strategic sourcing, RFQs, supplier management and resolving vendor issues.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to understand operational needs and secure critical services.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders as a trusted planning resource.
• Lead projects through full lifecycle to improve processes, costs, and business effectiveness.
• Analyze spending, service performance, and trends to identify optimization and risk reduction opportunities.
• Support contract and vendor management activities including negotiations and performance reviews.
