Job summary

Novo Nordisk in Petersburg, Virginia is seeking a Site Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support department strategy and lead critical projects in Emerging Technologies within Chemical API development and production. You will coach staff, coordinate with Vendors and Engineering Firms, and ensure projects meet cost, quality, and schedule targets.

The role emphasizes Lean/Six Sigma driven improvements, audits, and cross-site collaboration to advance the SMOL strategy while reinforcing NN’s commitment

Qualifications

• LEAN manufacturing experience and training required.
• Excellent written communication skills and investigative writing.
• Ability to read/write complex product documentation and SOPs with attention to high-level concepts.
• Ability to drive continuous improvements via Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proven ability in planning/organizing, managing execution, and checking results.

Responsibilities

• Provide Site SME for department and strategic support.
• Lead and support various projects to meet cost, quality and schedule requirements.
• Coach/Mentor Process Professionals.
• Communicate with Vendors and Engineering Firms on projects and technical issues.
• Present project status updates to Senior Management.
• Promote continuous improvement and cost reduction via Lean tools and Six Sigma.
