Job summary

Novo Nordisk A/S in Petersburg, VA seeks a Senior Process Engineer to support onboarding of new API manufacturing programs and act as a key technical resource for process implementation.

You will lead capital projects, develop process designs and equipment specifications, support GMP compliance, and collaborate with manufacturing, QA, and external vendors to drive safe, reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Chemistry field from an accredited university.
• Minimum of eight years of relevant work experience in engineering processes, design and operations support.
• Knowledge of process utility systems (water, solvent, waste, inert gas, glycol, compressed air) and engineering guidelines (CFR/ASME/ISPE).

Responsibilities

• Independently lead or support assigned engineering projects from concept design through start-up.
• Develop user requirements, process design, and equipment specifications, including procurement, installation and qualification.
• Provide manufacturing and research groups technical support for day-to-day activities and scale-up efforts.
• Support process and automation system designs and promote safe, compliant operations.
• Promote a culture of safe and compliant design and operation.
