Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel is seeking a seasoned leader to head end-to-end sourcing and planning for pharma meetings. You will oversee multiple teams across sourcing, contracting, planning, and on-site execution, with a focus on coaching, performance, and delivering client value.

The role requires 5+ years of leadership in pharma meetings, deep sourcing/planning expertise, and strong financial oversight. MBA preferred; travel up to 25%. Base salary range applies in the US.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership of pharma meetings teams
• Strong people leadership including coaching and development
• Deep expertise in pharma meetings sourcing and planning
• Knowledge of healthcare compliance like Sunshine Act and transfer of value
• Ability to drive organizational change and operational efficiencies
• Experience with client-facing activities and executive-level interactions

Responsibilities

• Drive account financial performance by reviewing forecasts and approving monthly settlements
• Ensure accurate invoicing, reporting, and tracking of event-level data
• Monitor profitability by analyzing labor, commissions, and margins
• Support growth through cost validation and proposal development
• Forecast results and optimize program outcomes from data trends
• Serve as advisor across the client lifecycle from onboarding to execution
• Build strong client and supplier relationships and lead reviews
• Lead issue resolution and continuous improvement plans
• Oversee coaching, hiring, onboarding, and training of teams
• Standardize processes and ensure compliance across operations
