Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in Durham, NC is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to provide equipment troubleshooting and maintenance support in aseptic and clean room environments.

The role requires knowledge of GMP, DeltaV, and mechanical systems, working with a team across Production, Technical Operations, and Quality. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school or associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years equipment maintenance experience.
• Experience with DeltaV control system is required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical equipment across GMP manufacturing areas.
• Perform preventive maintenance and manage equipment records in SAP or CMMS.
• Collaborate with Production, QA, and other support groups to resolve deviations.
• Provide documentation of maintenance activities and ensure clean room compliance.
