Job summary

United Therapeutics Corporation seeks a Mechanic II, Maintenance to perform preventive maintenance and intermediate troubleshooting on GMP manufacturing equipment and facilities at our Durham, NC site. You will support utilities, life-safety, and cleanroom systems while following cGMP and ISO standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with 4+ years of industrial pharma maintenance experience, a valid driver license, and the ability to work independently and on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years of maintenance experience in pharma/manufacturing.
• Active Driver License in good standing.
• Knowledge of cGMP and ISO requirements.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Experience documenting work in compliant records.
• Willingness to use PPE and follow safety procedures.
• Familiarity with SOPs and regulatory audits.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on GMP manufacturing equipment and utilities.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment with minimal supervision.
• Monitor boiler, water, steam, HVAC, and life-safety systems.
• Maintain and update CMMS work orders and records.
• Assist with special projects including renovations or new installations.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation to ensure continuous operations.
