Job summary

Merck is seeking a Technician (Technical) for manufacturing and packaging operations. The role focuses on operating and maintaining equipment, performing line clearances, and ensuring GMP compliance and product quality.

The successful candidate will diagnose and repair equipment, work under GMP/SOP guidelines, and collaborate with maintenance and quality teams to sustain efficient production. This position requires strong technical skills and the ability to work third shift as needed.

Qualifications

• GMP manufacturing experience required.
• Experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and/or repairing industrial equipment.
• Basic mechanical and electrical understanding.
• Ability to troubleshoot using a systematic approach.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain manufacturing and packaging equipment to meet production standards while following GMPs and SOPs.
• Complete line clearance, cleaning and inspection, and document results.
• Set up and adjust equipment to ensure proper alignment and clearances.
• Assist with routine and non-routine maintenance tasks and spare parts retrieval.
• Document manufacturing activities in accordance with cGMP and SOPs.
• Respond to equipment malfunctions and escalate as needed to maintain uptime.
