Job summary

AbbVie in Illinois, USA seeks a Production Specialist I for its pharmaceutical finishing operation. You will support setup, changeover, and packaging of products, contributing to a safety-driven, quality-focused team environment on the finishing line.

Responsibilities include line housekeeping, equipment setup, automated/semi-automated production, in-process checks, and line clearances. You will work with minimal supervision and escalate issues through cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent; technical certificate or degree preferred.
• Demonstrated focus on quality and compliance to site policies.
• Ability to communicate issues to engineering and mechanical teams.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new programs.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to EH&S procedures and facilitate a proactive safety culture.
• Perform housekeeping and line clearances; blow down lines and equipment.
• Assist in setup of automated equipment in packaging areas.
• Operate automated and semi-automated manufacturing equipment with minimal supervision.
• Perform quality checks, sampling, in-process checks and material accountability.
• Maintain 6S for parts and tooling across the production floor.
• Escalate safety, quality and operating issues to appropriate groups.
• Communicate and drive improvements with cross-functional teams; align with production schedule.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and adjust to improve efficiency.
