Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Sr. Director / General Manager Pharma EM to lead the global growth strategy for Electron Microscopy in the pharmaceutical market.

You will drive strategic portfolio options, identify market requirements, and accelerate penetration into Pharma while expanding the customer base. This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration across R&D, Sales, Operations, Marketing and Business Development.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and drug discovery process.
• Demonstrated commercial and business leadership experience in pharma, life sciences, analytical instrumentation or related tech-driven market.
• Experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies for sophisticated capital equipment or tech solutions.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the global Pharma growth strategy for Electron Microscopy.
• Own the growth agenda and business results for the segment with strong P&L ownership.
• Build deep relationships with leading pharmaceutical customers and translate insights into value propositions.
• Expand Electron Microscopy into new pharmaceutical applications across formulation, process development and manufacturing.
• Develop and execute effective go-to-market strategies for global pharmaceutical accounts.
• Shape portfolio and product strategy based on customer and market requirements.
• Lead and inspire a distributed global team and promote inclusion, innovation and accountability.
• Champion a customer-first, agile culture with strong accountability for results.
