Job summary

Lilly in Pleasant Prairie, WI seeks a senior engineer to lead design standards and capital project delivery. You will coordinate with the Project Manager through all design phases, ensure regulatory alignment, and drive design requirements from concept to completion.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, process improvement, and development of SOPs for design verification, with travel up to 25% as needed.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred).
• Minimum 5 years manufacturing and/or engineering experience supporting pharmaceutical or API networks.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. full-time; Lilly does not sponsor visas/work authorization.
• Experience in capital projects, A/E design processes, and project management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead identification of Engineering Design Standards, Functional Standards, Specifications, and regulatory guidance.
• Own design delivery for capital projects; coordinate design with Project Manager through design phases.
• Direct development of design requirements; assist with design schedule; participate in A/E firm selection.
• Coordinate with A/E firms to develop earned value progress systems and manage information flow.
• Ensure design meets approved intent; govern activities; resolve design-related problems.
• Identify design inefficiencies and develop improvement strategies to meet design hours plan.
• Assist development/maintenance of SOPs, work instructions, and best practices related to design/verification.
