Job summary

Lilly is seeking a Design Lead within the Global Facilities Delivery organization to guide capital project design from concept through basic design. You will coordinate with A/E firms, ensure adherence to design standards and regulatory requirements, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver on time and within scope.

The role emphasizes project governance, risk assessment, value engineering support, and strong communication across site and corporate engineering resources, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred)
• Minimum of 5-years manufacturing and/or engineering experience in support of pharmaceutical or API networks
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis (no visa sponsorship)

Responsibilities

• Lead in the identification of applicable Engineering Design Standards, Engineering Functional Standards, Engineering Specifications and Regulatory requirements.
• Responsible for the overall design delivery for capital project(s).
• Coordinate design for the Project Manager during all design phases and deliver conceptual and basic design reviews.
• Develop and maintain the design schedule to meet project needs.
• Coordinate with A/E firms to develop earned value progress systems.
• Support value engineering and risk assessments; ensure design governance and adherence to approved intent.
