Job summary

Eli Lilly and Company is seeking a Director-level Design Lead to oversee capital project design delivery across a multi-node program. The role will manage DLs, coordinate internal and external partners, and influence senior management on design approaches.

The position requires extensive manufacturing/engineering experience in pharma, with weekly site presence and travel as needed. Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Strong manufacturing and engineering background.
• Minimum of 20 years manufacturing and/or engineering in support of pharmaceutical or API networks.
• Ability to work at the site of the project on a weekly basis; located at site of the supported project.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design delivery for capital projects across a multi-node program and manage a team of DLs on node-level design.
• DL teams will be a mix of Lilly team members and external partners fully accountable in the project location for project technical success.
• Directly influences Sr. Management on asset design and/or delivery approaches.
• Lead identification of applicable Engineering Design Standards, Functional Standards, Specifications and Regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with A/E firms to develop earned value progress systems to measure progress by discipline.
