Job summary

Amgen Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager of Construction Contractor Safety to lead the development, governance, and continuous improvement of our construction safety program.

You will work with capital projects, EHS, engineering, and external contractors to manage safety performance and implement training, standards, and technology solutions. The role requires advanced EHS credentials and extensive leadership experience in construction safety, preferably within pharma or biopharma.

Qualifications

• Multiple pathways to qualifications including advanced degrees in EHS.
• Minimum 2 years of direct people management or leadership experience.
• Experience with construction safety in pharma/biopharma is preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and governance of the construction safety program.
• Ensure contractor safety compliance across capital projects.
• Manage risk assessments, reviews, and incident investigations.
• Provide training and support to project leaders and safety roles.
