Job summary

QuVa Pharma, Inc. is hiring a Production Maintenance Mechanic II for their Sugar Land, TX site. The role supports sterile manufacturing by maintaining and troubleshooting production and cleanroom equipment, following cGMP guidelines, and documenting work in CMMS.

The position requires aseptic gowning, strong problem-solving, and collaboration across departments. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, with potential overtime and on-site requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 5-7 years prior experience in Maintenance or Engineering field.
• 3 years Cleanroom experience/aseptic gowning procedures.
• 3 years experience in a cGMP/FDA regulated industry.
• Able to successfully complete a drug and background check.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Quva will not sponsor applicants for work visas.

Responsibilities

• Performs and coordinates planned and demand maintenance on production and cleanroom equipment following SOPs.
• Documents all maintenance work in the site CMMS system.
• Ensures maintenance work orders are completed within the specified timeframe.
• Performs preventative maintenance on production/manufacturing equipment.
• Maintains site equipment list, calibration, and PM schedules.
• Maintains equipment spare parts list to ensure reliability.
• Maintains systems including mechanical, electrical and pneumatic controls.
• Troubleshoots and repairs faulty equipment parts.
• Coaches manufacturing personnel on technical aspects of production equipment.
• Coordinates work orders via email and communicates with the organization.
• Responds to issues after hours and during weekends.
• Operates safely using LOTO procedures.
• Seeks opportunities for continuous process improvement.
• Performs general maintenance including electrical, mechanical, plumbing work and painting.
