Job summary

MRIGlobal seeks a diligent Business Development Associate to drive prospecting and initial engagement for its pharmaceutical sciences business. You will support discovery, outline potential solutions, and help qualify opportunities for the Commercial Business Development team.

You will collaborate with marketing, science, contracts, and finance teams to ensure timely follow-up, accurate pipeline data, and well-prepared customer engagements for growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, chemistry, business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong written and verbal communication for outreach and client engagement.
• Experience with Salesforce or another CRM and Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to prioritize, manage multiple follow-ups, meetings, and deadlines with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Research, identify, and prioritize pharmaceutical and biotechnology prospects.
• Prepare profiles, account briefs, target lists and decision-maker research for outreach.
• Draft personalized outreach and follow-up materials for review by leadership.
• Execute outreach and follow-up across channels; track responses in Salesforce.
• Support lead generation and qualification with timely discovery preparation.
• Maintain accurate CRM data and prepare routine activity reports.
• Coordinate customer and technical meetings; capture notes and action items.
• Support ROMs, proposals, and commercial agreements; track progress.
• Track client commitments and growth opportunities; connect to internal teams.
• Develop knowledge of MRIGlobal’s capabilities, and collaborate across teams.
