Job summary

QPS Employment Group is seeking an Assembly Line Lead in Rockford, IL to oversee daily production activities in a pharmaceutical packaging environment. You will support and direct line employees, operate packaging equipment, and ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are met in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires leading line operations, coordinating with support departments, and maintaining compliance with cGMP and GCP policies. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains machine according to batch record, safety and quality standards.
• Conducts daily line huddle communication meeting and reviews shift-to-shift information and VCB results.
• Directs line employees by ensuring roster signing and proper crew assignments.
• Ensures jackets and components/resources are at the line.
• Escalates quality, service, and equipment issues to supervision.
• Communicates production needs to warehouse, quality, maintenance, and business unit teams.
• Updates hourly run charts and all VCB areas with required information.
• Ensures machine operates optimally with the team.
• Orders components when necessary.
• Answers questions and resolves issues for on-line associates.
• Completes paperwork: scrap, recovery and production rate entries.
