Job summary

Mars, Incorporated invites you to join the Petcare Health, Safety, and Environment Internship Experience in the United States. This 10–11-week summer program offers exposure to site and regional HSE initiatives, regulatory compliance, safety training development, and risk assessment activities across Mars brands.

You will support site assessments, help implement control measures, participate in program reviews and audits, and gain mentorship through Mars University and ongoing coaching.

Qualifications

• Strongly preferred degree in environmental, health, and safety / occupational health and safety.
• Eligible candidates will intern the summer prior to their final graduation date.
• Open to students legally authorized to work in the U.S., without visa sponsorship.
• Employment is contingent upon successful drug & background screening.
• Candidates must provide personal transportation to and from work site during the internship.

Responsibilities

• Support Site and Regional HSE in focus initiatives.
• Perform site assessments to ensure safety and environmental regulatory compliance.
• Develop and lead safety trainings for Mars associates.
• Perform risk assessments and help implement control measures.
• Perform on the job safety analysis focusing on ergonomics and improvements.
• HSE Program Review and Gap Assessments.
• Assist in technical audits of other Mars factories.
