Job summary

Mars Incorporated invites students to join our Petcare Health, Safety, and Environment Internship Experience this summer. The 10-11 week program provides exposure to HSE initiatives, site assessments, safety trainings, risk assessments, and audits across Mars facilities.

Open to students legally authorized to work in the U.S. and pursuing an environmental, health, and safety degree, this internship includes mentorship, access to Mars University, and opportunities to grow within our global brands.

Qualifications

• Strongly preferred degree in environmental, health, and safety / occupational health and safety.
• Eligible candidates will intern the summer prior to their final graduation date.
• Open to students legally authorized to work in the U.S., without the need for current or future work status authorization or visa sponsorship for employment.

Responsibilities

• Support Site and Regional HSE in focus initiatives.
• Perform site assessments to ensure safety and environmental regulatory compliance.
• Develop and lead safety trainings for Mars associates.
• Perform risk assessments and help implement appropriate control measures.
• Perform on the job safety analysis looking at ergonomics and improvement opportunities.
• HSE Program Review and Gap Assessments.
• Assist in technical audits of other Mars factories.
