Mars, Incorporated invites you to join its Petcare Health, Safety, and Environment Internship Experience in Lewisburg, Ohio (and Ft. Smith, Arkansas).

You will gain hands-on exposure to site and regional HSE initiatives, safety training development, risk assessments, and audits while working with our global brands. Eligible students pursuing a degree in environmental, health, and safety may apply; internship runs 10–11 weeks in the summer, with competitive compensation and housing options for

Qualifications

• Preferred degree in environmental, health, and safety / occupational health and safety.
• Eligible candidates will intern the summer prior to their final graduation date.
• Open to students legally authorized to work in the U.S., without the need for current or future work status authorization or visa sponsorship for employment.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of drug & background screening.
• Eligible candidates will be responsible for personal transportation to and from work site during duration of the internship program.

Responsibilities

• Support Site and Regional HSE in focus initiatives
• Perform site assessments to ensure safety and environmental regulatory compliance
• Develop and lead safety trainings for Mars associates
• Perform risk assessments and help implement appropriate control measures
• Perform on the job safety analysis looking at ergonomics and improvement opportunities
• HSE Program Review and Gap Assessments
• Assist in technical audits of other Mars factories
