Job summary

Mars, Incorporated invites students to join the Petcare Health, Safety, and Environment Internship. You will gain exposure to site and regional HSE initiatives, perform risk assessments, and help implement safety controls across our sites.

The program runs 10–11 weeks with mentorship, training, and opportunities to network with leaders. Housing/relocation vary by location and eligible interns receive a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• Strongly preferred degree in environmental, health, and safety / occupational health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Support Site and Regional HSE in focus initiatives.
• Perform site assessments to ensure safety and environmental regulatory compliance.
• Develop and lead safety trainings for Mars associates.
• Perform risk assessments and help implement appropriate control measures.
• Perform on the job safety analysis looking at ergonomics and improvement opportunities.
• HSE Program Review and Gap Assessments.
• Assist in technical audits of other Mars factories.
