Job summary

Petco is seeking a dedicated Key Holder to support daily store operations in a Pet Care Center environment. You will supervise partners, open/close the store, resolve issues on the floor, and ensure exceptional customer service and animal welfare standards.

The role emphasizes leadership, on-floor problem-solving, and ability to drive sales while maintaining store safety and accuracy in cash handling and merchandising.

Qualifications

• Previous retail experience in a supervisory or key holder role is preferred or required.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills and experience handling cash and transactions.
• Reliable, responsible, and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Uphold Petco’s animal care standards and ensure health, safety, and proper handling of all animals.
• Open and close the store, supervise partners, and serve as a point of contact when management is not present.
• Lead on the floor, solve problems in real time, and deliver a great customer experience every day.
• Provide guidance to partners, maintain productivity and positive morale during shifts.
• Assist with inventory, merchandising, and maintaining store standards.
• Process transactions, refunds, and exchanges accurately and efficiently.
