Job summary

IPP - Independent Pet Partners in Minnesota seeks a Store Manager to lead and motivate staff, drive sales, and ensure superb customer service. You will oversee scheduling, inventory, merchandising, and daily operations in a full-time capacity, with a focus on pet wellness and community engagement.

Qualified candidates bring at least 2 years of retail sales and 2 years of managerial experience, plus strong communication and financial acumen.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 2 years of professional retail sales experience.
• Minimum 2 years of managerial experience.
• Budget and P&L management experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Trains, motivates, and supervises store staff to foster a positive work environment.
• Drives sales growth and achieves store targets.
• Manages scheduling for store team members.
• Analyzes performance and reports results to leadership.
• Maintains customer service excellence and handles inquiries promptly.
• Oversees daily store operations including opening/closing and cash handling.
• Executes merchandising and product displays to maximize sales.
• Provides product knowledge and recommendations to customers.
• Manages inventory, stock replenishment, and cycle counts.
• Organizes in-store events and loyalty promotions to boost engagement.
• Ensures store safety, cleanliness, and adherence to policies.
