IPP - Independent Pet Partners in Cottage Grove, MN is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations and coach team members to deliver outstanding guest experiences for pets and their families.

You will drive sales, maintain product knowledge, oversee inventory, and organize events in a pet-loving environment. This full-time role offers competitive pay, benefits, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Age 18 or older.
• Passion for exceptional customer service and pets.
• Minimum 1 year retail sales experience.
• Minimum 1 year managerial experience.
• Willingness to learn about products/services.
• Ability to meet sales targets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with an exceptional experience.
• Assist Store Manager in overall store operations.
• Share product knowledge to meet customer needs and promote pet health.
• Coach and lead Team Members to deliver great guest service and sales results.
• Oversee inventory activities: replenishment, counts, transfers, and shipments.
• Organize special store events and promotions.
• Interact positively with pet parents in person, by email, text, and phone.
• Perform front-end duties: cash handling, bagging, displays.
