Job summary

IPP - Independent Pet Partners in Eden Prairie, MN is seeking a Store Manager In Training to lead a team and deliver exceptional guest experiences. You will learn store operations, staffing, inventory, and promotions to drive sales and store performance.

Ideal candidates have at least two years in retail, one year in management, and a passion for pet welfare. This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities within a pet-loving community.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Minimum 2 years of professional retail sales experience.
• Minimum 1 year of professional managerial experience.
• Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets.
• Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs (evenings/weekends).
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Willingness to be educated about products and services offered.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and develop at least 2 store team members.
• Create and maintain scheduling for store team members.
• Coach and lead team to provide an exceptional guest experience and achieve sales goals.
• Exercise discretionary authority, prepare reports, and uphold performance measures.
• Create an environment of kindness and empathy towards pets and pet parents.
• Share product knowledge to fit customer needs and promote pet health.
• Perform front-end duties such as cash handling and displays.
• Oversee all aspects of inventory and store operations.
• Organize in-store events and promotions.
• All other duties by Retail Management Team.
