Job summary

PetPeople is seeking a Sales Associate Key Holder to act as the Manager-On-Duty in the absence of store management, delivering friendly, knowledgeable service.

You will engage customers, maintain product knowledge, assist with shipments, merchandising, and POS transactions, and uphold store standards.

Qualifications

• A love of pets and genuine interest in animal nutrition and welfare.
• Previous retail experience as a Key Holder/Lead.
• Strong focus on building customer relationships through excellent service.
• Energy and enthusiasm for the role.
• Honesty, integrity, fairness and mutual respect.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to move merchandise up to 50lbs frequently.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Availability to work varied hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure each customer receives outstanding service with a genuine, friendly experience.
• Maintain product knowledge and stay current with new releases.
• Demonstrate products and add value during interactions.
• Perform housekeeping to keep the store clean and organized.
• Assist with shipments, replenishing stock, merchandising and floor stock control.
• Complete POS transactions quickly and accurately.
• Leave a lasting impression and carry out service with excellence.
• Handle escalated customer issues and communicate resolutions to management.
• Plan and direct shift tasks, ensure closing activities are completed.
