Job summary

IPP - Independent Pet Partners in Fort Collins, CO, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to influence team performance and drive store results under the Store Manager's supervision. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, promoting pet health knowledge, and supporting daily operations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Minimum 1 year of professional retail sales experience.
• Minimum 1 year of professional managerial experience.
• Willingness to be educated about the products and services offered.
• Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets.
• Excellent communication skills—verbal and written.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with an exceptional experience.
• Assist the Store Manager in overall management of store operations.
• Share product knowledge and suggestions to meet customer needs.
• Coach and lead Team Members to provide an exceptional guest experience and achieve sales goals.
• Oversee all aspects of inventory such as replenishment, adjustments, weekly counts, transfers, and shipments.
• Organize special store events and promotions.
• Interact with pet parents in-person, via email, text, and phone.
• Perform front-end duties such as cash register, bagging, and displays.
• All other duties from Store Manager or Retail Management Team.
