Job summary

Starch Pet Hospital in Des Moines, IA seeks a results-driven Hospital Manager to lead our expanding team on-site. You will manage revenue, costs, and staff to ensure top-tier patient care and customer service while collaborating with the Managing Veterinarian to drive profitable operations.

The role requires 3–5 years of managerial experience, a business-related degree, and a hands-on approach to hospital operations. In-person leadership and program implementation are essential parts of the job.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in a managerial role, including customer service experience.
• Experience in a hospital, retail, or service-based industry setting in positions of increased responsibility is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own P&L and be accountable for the hospital's performance.
• Collaborate with regional leadership to forecast hospital needs and trends.
• Manage accounts receivable and control costs and inventory.
• Oversee payroll, scheduling, and labor costs.
• Lead the hospital team to improve client service, operations, and administrative tasks.
• Implement new technologies and initiatives to boost efficiency.
• Maintain licensure for all DVMs and uphold high patient care standards.
